About Bonnie S. White

With a BA in history, Bonnie White began making drawings and paintings of historic buildings in New York City, in New Castle, DE, in Lewes, DE and in the Brandywine Valley. She had pen and ink note cards sold at museums, and did house portraits for the real estate industry. She then became a water colorist and a landscape artist, using several styles, painting most often on full sheet (22" × 30") watercolor paper.

In her watercolors, White captures the memory of the moment in a flowing contemporary way, and lets the viewer complete the image. Building on strong composition, she takes chances with the colors until the end. Her recent acrylic and oil paintings emphasize her love of place, color and shape.

Bonnie White has been showing and competing with her paintings in established venues and has received prizes and publication recognition. Many of her works are now in corporate and private collections in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

She is a Signature Member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, shows at the Howard Pyle Studio in Wilmington, DE and at the Rehoboth (DE) Art League. She was designated a Master Artist by the professional group, Delaware By Hand, in 2011. Bonnie White participates in the Lewes Artists Studio Tour in September.
